PAX
So. PAX was a huge blast. I spent about forty hours at the convention center this weekend, and I encourage everyone to go next year. From everything I was able to gather, PAX was an extremely well-behaved (and unsmelly!) not-convention, so even if you don't like the typical con scene, you'd probably do all right.

A big thank you to the Paizo staff and volunteers for letting me tag along for another year. I had even more fun this time around.

There were fantastic concerts, sweet demos, tons of swag, and geek celebrities everywhere. Once again I didn't manage to attend any panels. There was just too much to do. But the Expo Hall was great. Everybody really brought their A-Game this year. I feel pretty safe saying that PAX has become the new E3.

That being said, Wizards of the Coast brought jack. I don't even know why they were there, let alone why they rented so much booth space.

I suppose I should take this moment to say few words about 4th Edition D&D. While I can see some of the proposed changes being of great help to folks just getting into D&D, they are mostly fixes for things that I have already dealt with at my table in my own way. What does that mean? It means I think 4th edition may be a very good thing over all (I'm willing to hold off on judging it at this point), but I can't really see myself shelling out for it anytime soon. But I suppose we'll see.
